Description
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a 20th century French gentleman pilot and writer. As well as accumulating many writing awards, he also journeyed to the USA to enlist the power of its government to join the war against Nazi Germany. He flew many missions out of North Africa despite being well past the maximum age for airforce pilots, displaying a continuing dedication to justice and an unfaltering capability in the cockpit. He flew until 1944, when he disappeared without trace during a reconnaissance mission. To pay homage to this great poet, IWC created the Pilot's UTC Edition Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which features the 'A' from the great man's signature emblazoned on the dial at nine o'clock. Also featuring on this edition is the ever-useful UTC complication, which tracks the global time standard.
This IWC Pilot's UTC IW326104 has a black arabic dial and a leather strap. This IWC has undergone a thorough inspection of accuracy, functionality and condition at our IWC certified service centre to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards.
